On May 21, 2026, in the building of the central office of the Agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held between the first deputy director of the Agency - Rasuli Barot and the Officer-in-Charge of the Programme Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Tajikistan - Alexander Viktorovich Fedulov.

The main objective of the meeting was to familiarize with the Agency’s activities and to strengthen cooperation in the implementation of joint measures within the framework of UNODC programmes in Tajikistan. During the talks, the parties held a productive dialogue on issues of combating corruption, ways to prevent this phenomenon, the role of international organizations in implementing anti-corruption policy, and other related matters. 

The parties agreed to further expand cooperation within the framework of joint anti-corruption programmes in order to reduce the level of corruption in the country and to jointly counter this phenomenon.

The meeting was assessed as an important factor in strengthening mutually beneficial relations, and both sides expressed their readiness for further development of cooperation.
