On July 7, 2026, a bilateral meeting was held at the headquarters of the Agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan between the leadership of the Agency and an expert from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran, and Pakistan.
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct an independent evaluation of the UNODC programmes for Central Asian countries by the agency's expert. During the meeting, the parties engaged in a productive dialogue on the development of bilateral cooperation, the role of international organizations in implementing the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, and other topics related to combating corruption.
This meeting was assessed as an important milestone for strengthening mutual relations, and the parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation.
