On August 8, 2026, a political-educational and cultural gathering was held at the Palace of Culture in the Dusti district of the Khatlon region. The event was organized by the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan at a high level.
The event was attended by the leadership and officials of the Agency, the Executive Body of State Power of the Dusti district, representatives of state institutions operating within the district, invited guests, and a wide circle of activists and residents of the region.
The event was opened by the Director of the Agency, S.S. Sultonzoda, who delivered a speech on the role of Independence in the formation of Tajik national statehood.
It was noted that State Independence is one of the most sacred and highest achievements of our beloved Tajikistan. Thanks to the round-the-clock efforts of the historical great figure, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, we were able to maintain complete peace and stability and ensure the rapid development of our country toward a bright future. ......
The event continued with insightful reports on the importance of the foundations of State Independence, the role of the Leader of the Nation in the development of modern Tajik statehood, and the achievements of the Dusti district during the period of independence. These reports were delivered by R. Mukarram, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Unity and Revival Movement of Tajikistan; R. Abdullo, the Editor-in-Chief of the "Adabiyot va San'at" (Literature and Art) weekly newspaper; and D.N. Nishondoda, the Chairman of the Dusti district.
To honor this sacred holiday, the final part of the event featured an extensive cultural program for the participants, with performances by well-known artists of the country.
Overall, the event was held in a festive atmosphere. It can be confidently stated that its outcomes provide a favorable basis for raising the national pride of the residents and honoring the foundations of statehood.
